I don't have pictures for this entry tonight, but it's been so long since I have taken the time out for the boys to journal how overwhelmingly happy I am to have them be the Leading Men in my life! As Elijah is starting Preschool and Nehemiah nearing his first B-day, I find myself sharing a Kleenex for both my tears of sadness and of happiness. Sad to see that this time has gone by so fast, Happy to know that my babies will always be my babies but just bigger and wiser. Elijah is quite the little man. He struggles with his want to be independent (yes already) and his need to still be babied. And I might inform you that that is a very thin line. (Even hard for me to see at times) I am blessed to have such a smart 3 year old. I only pray that his early wisdom continues to allow him to be positively productive. Oh, and Nehemiah! I can't believe that here in several months he will be a year old. Where did this year go. Two days ago he almost made my heart stop. He was in the highchair while dad was cooking, and I was making a bottle. He decided that being stationary wasn't to his liking and stood up in the highchair turned around, and tried to jump out. YIKES!!! I screamed louder than I have in a long time and ran to get him. IS THIS WHAT I HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO NOW. YET ANOTHER BUSY LITTLE BOY! It's amazing, that God knew that I needed two precious pearls in in my life. It's amazing how I am blessed every day. It's amazing that everything in my day can go upside down, but the thought of my two babies, my two boys turns all that around. To Elijah and Nehemiah I love you dearly.

So, as I'm playing catch up. I figured I would just choose some of my favorite pictures to display in mass style to show how quickly my sprout is growing! To look back and to know and relive the day that such a rare entity was given to me brings tears to my eyes! I absolutely love, adore, and cherish the act and the simplicity of Motherhood!
My first bath!
My first book being read outside the womb!!! I read alot to him while he was still inside being perfected!
Mommy Kisses!
Just relaxing.

Oh where oh where has my little dog gone, Oh where oh where can he be...Except this time the lyrics should sing..
Oh why oh why did she stop her blog, Oh where or where did she go! My last entry gave somewhat of a hint to the upcoming blessings within our family. However, never did I think that it would have taken me this long to resume what was supposed to be my chronicles of my joys, my smiles, and our growth. Life is much busier, much more cramming arts and crafts, and dirty clothes, and now once again bottles and bibs! The newest addition to our family came in with a wave and is definitely keeping the tides a-going. We had a little talk last night and agreed that it was time for him to make his face known to the world. So with much pleasure and long long overdue I announce to you the newest Prince in our lives...Nehemiah Brooms.
Sleeping King on the first days of his life!
MY GOlDEN PRINCE!!!

I wanted for Elijah to take a Sibling Class/Big Brother class to help him prepare to baby brother. I thought that having him hear someone else talk about baby brother other than just mommy and daddy would help with the transision. So after lots of internet searching and phone calling. I realized that the hospital that I work at was offering a Sibling class. We hyped up the class for Elijah so that he would be excited to go learn how to care for baby brother. It was a fairly good tunout of kids, all various ages. And of course, when it came to answering questions, my baby was the loudest and quickest one. Gran Gran and Daddy were both in attendance and can attest to how fun Elijah makes everything. The teacher talked to the kids about how new babies are too small to play with in the beginning but how soon they will grow and be good playmates. She also taught them how to change a diaper...hmmmm Eljah quickly said, "No, I don't want to" Smart kid! lol So we skipped that part, Well Mommy changed it and he watched. They then learned how to swaddle the baby. Elijah did a great job with swaddling minus the fact that I'm not sure the baby could breathe, lol. Next was how to hold the baby. Elijah made his muscles and did a spectacular job at holding the baby under his back, hmmm but again I'm almost sure that the baby's head is not supposed to be hanging either, right? He might need lots and lots of practice in that area still. The children all sat on the floor and talked about what toys were safe for baby and which were not. This is where Elijah shined. He answered all the teacher's questions and seemed to have a blast. Oh what an awesome Big Brother he will be!

We celebrated Elijah's Thrid B-day at Monkey Bizness! An awesome place to have a party I might add. He had so much fun! From bouncing to rock wall climbing to running around with all his friends I was so happy to see the precious smile on my big boy's face. He received so much stuff, and when he got home his SURPRISE PRESENT awaited for him. He walked into the garage and said, " WOW" in a whisper and his whole world lit up. Surprisingly, and to Daddy's surprise he rode his four wheeler almost better than daddy drives his car.

Today was Goodies with Grandma in Honors of Grandparent's Day at Elijah's school. Grandma Pat was fortunate to attend not the given hours of 8:00-9:30 but rather most of the first half of the day. Back to school she went. Betcha she wasn't expecting to have to sit in such small chairs and engage in school lunch after all these years, lol. The story was that Elijah was enjoying his Grandma so much that of course he cried and she was unable to leave. Thus, Grandma stayed up until naptime and then was able to sneak away. ( I believe a little white lie was told, something about going to her car to get her blanket. Remind me to tell you Elijah that ummm that was not the truth when you get older, lol)

As you can see Grandma enjoyed herself as she snapped lots of picturtes of me at school!

Thank you Grandma! I love you!

All summer, we have been teaming up against Daddy and asking him to go to Moody Gardens. Not sure exactly how this got started but sure enough, Elijah was saying it just about every other day. (that and thinking of all the words that rhymed with Moody Gardens, not exempting the one word he is not allowed to say) Since the GodFamily is within reasonable driving hours we of course invited them to go along...(Not knowing they would be counting this as our evaluation period in determining if we would ever vacation together again. (shaking my head at such nonsense) Anyhows. Elijah and Alex I do believe had a great time. Elijah saw the sharks at the Aquarim and Daddy even tried to feed him to a life size shark. Yeah, that didn't go over so well. At the IMAX, Elijah kept reaching out to actaully touch the fish, but then shortly fell asleep after he realized he wasn't going to catch any. The rest of the trip was filled with Butterly Gardens, Rainforests, and of course swimming all of which Elijah enjoyed tremendously. Elijah even went on his first boat ride giving me a semi hear attack and all. He thnks he is such big bouy so he wanted to hang out on the rails alone. The best part though was seeing Elijah and Alex have so much fun together! Can't wait to plan next summer's trip.

Dwayne is so much a soccer fan that he thought he'd dress Elijah up in his soccer gear minus all the "clothes" so the cutest moment ever was Elijah in his dad's soccer socks. Naked baby takes the field! LOL

Elijah and Mommy are always up to something! Daddy was sitting on the couch watching television, and Elijah and I ware writng the alphabet. We both had the wonderful idea to decorate daddy's shirt. After getting permission..meaning after Mommy got looked at crazy for wanting to basically destroy Daddy's shirt, Daddy gave in as usual making his favorite two people happy and let us create a masterpiece. Elijah enjoyed being able to color on Daddy right up untill we had to stop. Of course he took it too far and really wanted to mark up daddy for real.
Heres Daddy not really knowing what to expect!
and here's Daddy thinking what did I agree too!

The artist at work.
"Ummm, Daddy. Can I draw on you now?"

Elijah has completely fallen head over heels with Toy Story 3. I bought him Buzz Light Year shortly after we saw the movie and his excitement just made my heart melt. Not to long ago Dwayne fell into the trap and purchased Woody! How could he not have the set? Elijah just loves them. He even will ask to sleep with them every now and then. Just look at how happy he is. Oh to be a kid!
